Very early pregnancy symptoms cramping...

Very early pregnancy symptoms cramping, usually presents within the first 6 - 12 days of conception. This would really be very mild cramping but it may persist to a few more weeks after conception. Considering cramping only within the first trimester of pregnancy, then we will restrict ourselves to that cramp that presents in your lower abdomen, similar to pre-menstrual pain.

Mild cramping can actually go unnoticed.

And the causes of this kind of very early pregnancy symptoms cramping may be;

  • Embryo implantation. Implantation of the embryo into the uterine wall takes place around the 6th - 12th of conception. It presents with a mild form of abdominal pain that’s quite discomforting almost like a nagging pain. It may or may not present with spotting or bleeding.
  • Miscarriage. This occurs when the pregnancy ends before the embryo or fetus can survive on its own outside the uterus, during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy. Most expectant moms are of course usually worried about miscarriages, but they occur in only about 15% of all pregnancies.
  • Ectopic pregnancy. Very early pregnancy symptoms cramping may present after fertilization in ectopic pregnancies. When the fertilized egg travels and implants itself outside the uterine cavity, usually within the tube itself. About 95% of all ectopic pregnancies occur in the tube. Otherwise, implantation can take place in the ovary, cervix or any other place in the uterus. And, because the fertilized egg has to burrow into tissue and establish a blood supply, this implantation process can prove to be quite painful and present as cramping.
  • Urinary tract infections. Your urinary tract runs from your urethra to your bladder and then up to your kidney. Urinary tract infections are caused by bacteria that get caught in your urinary system and multiply. Some women are more susceptible to these infections than others are. Pregnant women in particular, are more highly susceptible to urinary tract infections due to the shortening of the urethra as a result of hormonal changes. So among the classic symptoms of urinary tract infections, is lower back pain or abdominal pain which may present like abdominal cramping. Perhaps what might be very distinct about the urinary tract infection will be the frequent urination and the burning sensation when you urinate.

If cramping occurs regardless of the fact that you are pregnant or not, the other causes of abdominal pain associated to your ailment may include;

  • Food poisoning
  • Kidney stones
  • Bowel obstruction
  • Gallstones/gallbladder disease
  • Pancreatitis
  • Appendicitis
  • Infected fibroids or pendiculated fibroids

The list above can occasionally cause very early symptoms cramping, but most often cause abdominal pain in any woman. So, see your doctor for a thorough examination.
