A Pregnancy due date Calendar made my exhausting waiting pre-natal visits exciting! You may also refer to this calender as a pregnancy chart. I guess thats okay too.
This Pregnancy chart is one of those things I discovered accidentally.
During one prenatal appointment, I was seated in the waiting room, next to an expectant mom who was so engrossed in reading a book I thought was her diary, I was so bored I just had to strike up a conversation with her.
Out of curiosity, I leaned forward, to engage her attention for a minute, in order to find out what on earth was keeping her so entertained, when the rest of us were almost bored half to death.
She smiled and said, “I am reading my pregnancy chart.”
What is that? I asked, having never heard of the chart before.
“Am reading and reviewing my writing of my week by week pregnancy calendar events”, she replied.
Oh, I see.
Very impressed, I smile back and say, awesome idea.
Wow! Why didn’t I ever think of a pregnancy due date calender? That’s such a clever thing to do, as “light bulbs” switched on in my head.
Why hadn’t I thought of that, because I was getting awefully forgetful. If, I was noting all my week by week pregnancy calender events, like that, I wouldn’t be having so much trouble trying to remember the signs and symptoms that had come and gone before my doctor’s visit.
I would have everything noted down in my pregnancy chart and easy to recall!
A pregnancy due date calender was beginning to sound like a real solution to my foggy memory hooray!
A pregnancy chart like this one could be such a lifesaver. So excited about the idea, I returned home to make this pregnancy due date calender for myself.
This was going to be not only a terrific tool that both my doctor and I could review together, but a written memory of sorts for my soon to be born child.
A daily recording was no match to a week’s recall of events, so I included daily notes for this week by week pregnancy calendar idea.
In fact, my pregnancy due date calender would facilitate the making of the weekly recording. So, every morning when I got up for breakfast cereal, I wrote down, last evening’s and the current mornings’ events.
This way I kept track of every single sign and symptom that occurred. Relevant or not.
If you decide to keep a pregnancy due date calendar, make it fun and exciting. Who knows, someday you might even want to use it as a pregnancy journal!
Telling baby all the bits and pieces of what mom went through so he/she could be here. Be innovative, and creative when you write, so that you are interested in your own reading, after a month’s writing.
Most of all, enjoy the process of re-living your pregnancy days everyday.
